Pandanus West

The Pandanus West Project is located within the Georgetown–Townsville Uranium field, Queensland. Previous exploration in the region discovered the Ben Lomond and Maureen deposits, with measured and indicated mineral resources estimated at 6792 tonnes U3O8 with an average grade of 0.228% U3O8.

The Pandanus West Project lies directly SE of the Glengarry Resource Ltd Greenvale Project where a number of encouraging uranium results have been announced. A two drill hole program at the Oasis prospect by Glengarry returned 10 metres at 0.12% U3O8 and 7 metres at 0.17% U3O8.

Previous exploration at Pandanus West included radiometric surveys that detected 10 anomalies sourced by uranium. Ground follow up produced uranium assays of 0.033% to 0.089% U3O8.

Pandanus West ProjectFollow-up ground radiometric surveys showed the anomalies mostly occurred at or just below the flow-banded upper margins of the Teddy Rhyolite where it is in contact with sediments. The best assay results returned between 0.053% and 0.230% U3O8.

The Project has the potential to host metamorphic-volcanic deposits similar to those in the vicinity of the Project, which provide a target model for mineralisation. There has been little exploration in the area since the late 1980s and previous exploration mostly focused on gold and base metals.
